About Us

We are Sandra Lindenberg and Michaela Couturier, best friends since childhood and also inseparable at work. It all started after our four children started kindergarten with the idea of restoring and designing furniture together. We founded Umgemöbelt and designed colorful furniture with an individual design for two years. After a friend of ours approached us and asked if we could also design urns in the style of our furniture, we started to think about the topic. We quickly noticed that only a few models from the classic urn manufacturers appealed to us. If we had to find an urn for a loved one, we would have great difficulty choosing something that corresponds to the person and their life. So it quickly became clear to us that we now want to put all our knowledge about handling chalk paints and various design options into Das Urnenatelier. We want to create urns that are comfort for the bereaved, home for the deceased and an enrichment for the funeral service.
